Rescue Not Retail Dunedin (RNR) is a 501C3 nonprofit organization that provides veterinary services, food, supplies, and compassion, with a special focus on veterans and their service animals. Our Community Bark Box project, which launched in June 2023, offers a 24/7 anonymous location for the community to access free pet food, toys, leashes, and more.

Rescue Not Retail Dunedin was founded in 2018 by a group friends who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to preventative services and helping our favorite breed, the Pit Bull. As an all female team, we realized our love for our own animals could be spread to help others in need. Since then, we have grown into a thriving
Rescue Not Retail Dunedin was founded in 2018 by a group friends who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to preventative services and helping our favorite breed, the Pit Bull. As an all female team, we realized our love for our own animals could be spread to help others in need. Since then, we have grown into a thriving nonprofit, not only helping our favorite breed but now expanding to all types of dogs and cats. Spreading as much love and hope as we can!!

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve, THE ANIMALS. As an 100% volunteer based rescue, we come from all walks of life. From hospitality to medical, with a bit of rockstar in between, we believe we are a well rounded group with compassion that goes on for miles!

Our mission from the beginning was to "connect communities to animals & support services". From there, we have expanded to helping the homeless veteran population, opening a community animal food pantry, providing spay/neuter & vaccine services and donating to other rescues that are in need.

Our nonprofit organization is committed to improving the lives of those in need through community outreach and education. Our most recent project, launched in June of 2023, is the Community Bark Box.
